Match It Monday

Yay!  It's time to Match It Monday from the new catalog!

Here is my card that I matched from page 98 of the new Annual catalog!  I used the new In Colors instead of what is actually shown.  I used Soft Succulent Cardstock (#155776), Fresh Freesia Stampin' Pad (#155611), Soft Succulent Stampin' Pad (#155778), Pale Papaya Stampin' Pad (#155670), and Polished Pink Stampin' Pad (#155712).

I used the die set Scalloped Contours (#155560) and the stamp set Color & Contour (#154994).  I think both of these and Pale Papaya are my new faves!  The sentiments are so awesome!

I hope you like my card!

Thankful for Thursday!

I'm so thankful for Thursday and for you for reading my blog!

Thank you, thank you!

Thank you cards are probably the type of card I make the most.  I love all of the different types of fonts that the sentiments come in.  It is always fun to mix up stamp sets!

For today I am so excited with my card because I used new colors and new stamps from the new catalog!

I used Pale Papaya paper and shimmer vellum,, Evening Evergreen ink, Soft Succulent paper, Color & Contour Stamp Set, as well as the Scalloped Contours die set.  I love Pale Papaya and Evening Evergreen paired together so much.  They might be my favorite colors together...at least for today!

I'm not sure you can see from the picture, but the scalloped darker pale papaya is made with the Shimmer Vellum...I cannot even tell you how much I love that subtle sparkle!  I wish you could see it in person!  Hmm, maybe I should send this one to someone!

I hope you enjoy them!

You can find all of the products needed for this project on my Stampin' Up! website Project page:

What's New Wednesday

With a new annual catalog starting yesterday, well, everything is new!  I just wanted to share a couple of things that sometimes get overlooked as they're way in the back.  Pages 170 and 171 have stamp sets and a wonderful pack of paper that are for hostess Stampin' Up Rewards.  What does that mean?  If you do anything that is over $150 in total purchase whether it is your own order (oh yeah!), a workshop in person, or maybe a virtual gathering, you are eligible for Rewards!  As a "host", you are eligible to use your Rewards to pick up any of these stamp sets or the fabulous paper pack.  Oh my gosh that paper!  It's double sided, with one side colorful and the other sides are black and white.  I am in love with the black and white paper!

Here's a link to my facebook Stampin' Up! page with a silly slo mo video of the paper flipping.  It is silly silly silly!  Silly Slo Mo video on FB

Go check out those last pages and see the paper up close and personal!  Also which is your favorite stamp set?

See you next time!

Technique Tuesday! Rainbow Trees

Hello, Technique Tuesday!  Also hooray for our brand new catalog!

May the 4th be with you...I couldn't help that.

Today I wanted to share a fun little technique I love to do...paper quilting!  I needed to make a rainbow card for a card challenge today and so I thought I would try out my new die set from our brand new catalog which started today!  I used Inspiring Canopy Die Set (#155963) (BRAND NEW!!) along with a sentiment from the always popular Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set (#154456).

The fun technique part:

I used 7 colors from the Brights Cardstock collection (#146975) to cover the rainbow.  I used Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point, and Gorgeous Grape.  I cut 1" wide x 6" strips of each color.  I then took a thin piece of copy paper and applied adhesive over a 6" x 6" piece.  Then I place all of the strips in the order as they are listed above.

I used the trees die from the Inspiring Canopy Die Set and ran it through my Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine (#149653).  Hooray!  Rainbow Trees made by paper quilting.  I love doing this!  I did have to trim a tiny bit of the ground off to fit on my Basic Black Cardstock Base which measures 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4".  I used mini glue dots (#103683) to attach the trees to the Basic Black Cardstock.

I then stamped the sentiment "Happy Birthday" with Gorgeous Grape Stamp Pad (#147099) and used Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (#144108) to pop it up!

Last but not least I had some Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins (#152477) to random spots on the trees.  The Die Set has leaves available to cover the trees if you wish but I just preferred them without.

You can find all of the items used for this project on my Projects tab on my Stampin' Up! Website:

Teacher Gift Card Holder

It's the last day of our current catalog today!  There are so many awesome things that will be going, going, gone after today so if you have been on the fence about something...go get it.  Don't have stamper's regret lol.

Today is also Match It Monday for me on my blog so I chose for my very last Match It of the 2020-2021 catalog page 88.  I hope you can find which thing I was working on.

I made a gift card holder for a teacher with the Harvest Hellos Stamp Set (#150581) and the Apple Builder Punch (#150663) which is on sale today at a great price for it's last day in the catalog.  I bought these two things because of the pumpkin building opportunities as I am a complete pumpkin fan!  But hey, let's give the apples their time in the sun.  haha

I used a piece of Basic Black Cardstock (#121045) measuring 4-1/2" x 5-1/2", a piece of Basic White Cardstock (#159276) on top of that measuring 4" x 5-1/4".  I then took a scrap of True Love Designer Paper (#154281) measuring 3-3/4" square and used my Stampin' Seal (#152813) to the top of the white.  I chose the little black dots pattern.  I searched for a scrap piece of something gold in my stash and came up with a piece that I cut into 2 triangles to make a pocket to put the gift card in.  (I am not sure what pattern that was as it was a scrap.  I used Stampin' Seal to glue down just the outer edges of each triangle to form a pocket as shown.

The apple comes next!  I used a scrap of red paper and then a piece of white to go behind the red to show up slightly with my Apple Builder Punch for the apple and then stamped the image on the red paper with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (#132708).  I cut out a stem in brown scrap paper and a leaf in green and also stamped the image with Black Ink.  I glued the apple to the right side of the holder and then stamped my sentiment on a piece of white scrap cardstock and cut a rectangle out of a green for a background eye catcher.  I used Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (#144108) for the sentiment.  Last but not least (besides an actual gift card), comes the bow made with Playful Pets (#152466) trim combo pack red.

I didn't copy this pattern exactly but pretty close!  That's most of the fun really!  I hope you like it!

Tomorrow is the big day!  Our new catalog will be live along with great specials for joining Stampin' Up!  I'd love to have you be on my team as a hobby demonstrator for the discount or as your own fun business!  There's a link on my page to the right.  Also there will be more rewards for hosts this month with a $250 Workshop party and the Paper Pumpkin for May has a great price for new subscribers on May 7!  Stay tuned to my VIP Group on Facebook if you'd like in on that!

See you next time!

Encouragement Card

I loved making this card so much!  The beautiful Designer Series Paper True Love (#154281) has been my go to for projects lately!

I wanted to make something quickly for someone super special to me to let them know I'm thinking about them and that they are amazing of course.

I got out my new pack of Blender Brushes (#153611) and grabbed some blue and green ink pads.  (I used Pretty Peacock (retiring), Seaside Spray (retiring) and Coastal Cabana (#147097).  I then applied ink in a kind of ombre manner onto a section of the large flowers of the True Love set.  (I had cut a 3-3/4" square piece and a 1" x 3-3/4" piece of the DSP.)  I then used a Basic Black piece of cardstock (#121045) measuring 11" x 4-1/4", scored at 5-1/2" and at 4-1/4".

After blending with inks, I applied a Wink of Stella (#141897) to a big flower on the big square and to one on the smaller strip!  So sparkly!

I then used a sentiment from the new stamp set coming out May 4 called Color & Contour (#154994).  I love this set!  I cut a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock (#159276) with my scissors to resemble a banner.  I then applied some leftover ink from my blending brushes to the sentiment piece as well as a 3-3/4" square Basic White piece for the inside of the card, and to the envelope.  I then attached the inner white square with Stampin' Seal.

I used my Stampin' Seal (#149699) to adhere the DSP to the card stock.  I tied Snowflake Splendor ribbon which is currently on clearance (#153548) to the small scored section as shown and then I glued down the small inch section on the inside of the card.  The card will open sideways.  I used Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (#144108) to attach the sentiment.

I attached 3 Matte Black Dots as shown (#154284).  That's it!  I'm in love with this card.  I love the fun little glued down 1 inch part to give it a different look!  I'll probably make a bunch more more like this with different color patterns.  I hope you like it!
