Friday Stampin' In The Studio

Happy Friday to you!  I spent my day half in the "studio" (kitchen) and half outside walking dogs.  It was not even 70 degrees and so we took advantage of getting lots of steps in!  Then I was able to hop on over to my Studio (yes, kitchen, seriously) to do some stampin'.   You can watch my mis-adventures below:

I also spent 15 minutes playing with filters before I even started doing any work.  Yes, putting crowns on me, using weights, funny hats...there is no end to the fun of that!

After making my video I hopped on over to one of my Team Page activities and found there was a Mystery Stamping activity going on so I went ahead and used part of what I made in my video for my Mystery Stamping.

Here's my project:

I'll find out on Wednesday if my interpretation of the directions matched the original card.  It's so fun to do these and to see how everyone reads directions or ends up wanting to make their card.  Lots of fun!

I also did a Virtual Swap activity today and here is my project for that:

If you'd like directions for this, I have them in my VIP Swap Group on Facebook...I'd love for you to join us and check out all of the swaps and fun there!

I am just about to receive my order of new products for the new Mini Catalog and I can't wait to share them with you!  Hopefully next week!

I'll be sharing both of these cards on My Project page of my website.  If you would like to take a look at what I used to make these, I'd love to have you visit there and see these and some other projects at:  My Website.  While you are there, check out my events calendar, my projects (which shows what I've used to make projects), and of course feel free to shop!

I'd love to schedule a workshop for you soon, especially with the new Sale-abration and new items in the mini catalog!  Just let me know!

See you next time!

Summery DSP Thank You Card

Currently, Designer Series Paper is all on sale for Stampin' Up!  Hooray!  I started looking through my stash and really wanted to use Pansy Petal DSP.  I also love, love, love the Picture This Die Set.  One thing led to another and this is what I came up with!

The purple "windows" print is the reverse of the flowery paper that is the frame.  I coordinated everything with the new In Colors mainly Pale Papaya and Fresh Freesia.

I also used the butterflies and sentiment label are from Quiet Meadows Die Set and the flower is from Dandy Wishes Die Set.  If you'd like to see all of the items I used for this card, please visit my website and click on the MY PROJECTS tab and you will be able to view each item.  My Website or directly at MY PROJECTS

I also die cut part of the flowers with the In Color Shimmer Vellum sheets which is so beautiful.  Can you also see the butterfly's flying path which is also from Dandy Wishes Die Set!

There's also a bit of Wink of Stella sprinkled throughout which is the best!  The Thank You sentiment is from the Plentiful Plants Stamp Set...love it!

Hope you like it!

See you next time!

Sheepy Lunchbox Notes or Gift Notes

This week I've been busy mailing things to my kids.  I like to pop in a little card that is like a lunchbox note, like back in the day when they were little.  This lead me to wanting to make some for my knitting friends, too!  I'm gearing up for some fun summer knitting projects and I like to include little lunchbox notes with those also.  All of these thoughts brings me to these little guys:

I love 'em!  They're little, only 3" x 3" so I was able to use up some leftovers also!  I don't use envelopes for my lunchbox cards as they are too small to mail but if you like to have those, you surely can pop them into an envelope.

I'm adding things to my Etsy Shop (Shana's Etsy Shop Yarn Sundae) for finished items like these and for fun supplies paper-crafting wise.  They are in the section labeled Papercrafting Sundae.  Get it?  lol

I used Basic Black Cardstock cut 3" x 3", the sheep from Hippo Happiness (#158289), the Hippo & Friends Dies (#153585), Basic White Cardstock, True Love Designer Series Paper for the black polka dots (it is retiring as of today sadly), Tuxedo Black memento ink (#132708), Resin Heart Embellishments (retiring today - #154578), and a little piece of sparkle paper from my April Paper Pumpkin kit (the gift that keeps on giving).  You may find all of my supplies that are available to purchase at my shop website under My Projects Tab:   My Projects  While you're there, check out all of the other cool projects and features available to see!

Here's a super fun video as I made these guys:

Go forth and make tiny cards!

I wish I was at the Beach

 Day 2 - Beachy Post

I love the Stamp Set Biggest Wish (#155052)!  I'm on card number 5 so far for using it in the last couple of days.  The colors paired here make me think of the Beach!  I even dye yarn in these colors and call it my Beach Set.  The base color cardstock is Coastal Cabana (#131297) along with the same ink (#147097) and Cinnamon Cider ink (#153114).  I used the Scalloped Contours die ((#155560) to cut out waves from matching paper I found.  The brown is also embossed with Bark Embossing Folder (#155431) to resemble sand.  The images were stamped off for a lighter appearance using the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set (#158203).  I tossed on a few embellishments that were matchy and sparkly to finish it off.

If you'd like to purchase any of these items, I have them listed on the My Projects tab on my website at My Projects

Now I wish I could grab a friend and head to the beach!  Also which friend should I mail this too??

See you next time!

Seashells by the Seashore

Good morning!

I wanted to share with you a card I made last night for a friend!  I just received the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set (#158203) and I was just playing around with it.  I also have the die set Seaside Seashells (#156095).

Here you can see the results!  The main die was cut using a scrap piece of ombre paper.  I used some retired projects as I was just playing around with things.  The starfish are die cut with Champagne Foil.  The sentiment is from the very cute stamp set Pansy Patch (#154999).  The cardstock was Gray Granite (#146983).  The front was embossed with a retired folder called Subtle 3D embossing which I use all the time and can't believe it's gone...but that is how it goes.

I stamped the shells with Pretty Peacock Ink (another just retired but I love it and I need to use up some stuff).

These past few weeks I've been trying to focus on using up some of my retired papers and inks to make room for the new Mini Catalog that will be coming out soon.  Yesterday, time was spent marking all of the things that will be retired in my personal stash.  I also cut out the die set pictures to include with each set for ease of what is all in the folder.  It's a great thing to be able to just glance over and remind myself of what the dies are capable of.

Back to the card...I used dimensionals to pop the shells up from the base of the card and then slid some shiny starfish underneath.  The sentiment came next on a leftover scrap of the ombre paper and was then trimmed.  The ribbon under the sentiment is is Snowflake Splendor (#153548) that is on clearance right now for around $4!).  I try to sneak it on to every card I make!  After everything was glued down, I used my old Pretty Peacock Stampin' Write Marker to splatter ink dots all over the front.  The card was then finished with some shiny embellishments placed here and there.  Can you see them?

This was a fun project to do using up some parts!  I truly love all of my stamp sets!  I have a hard time letting go when the catalogs change.  Some demonstrators sell their old sets but I have not reached the point of letting go.  I so enjoy using them over and over.  Maybe space one day will dictate I do that but that is no fun!  lol

I sure hope my friend likes my card!

Until next time!

Chickens, my chickens!

 Oh, my chickens!

The cute chickens from the Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick bundles were one of the main reasons why I wanted to join Stampin' Up! this past February...that and what a great deal the Starter Kit was along with some great freebies with Sale-abration (we are on the eve of another Sale-abration in August which means great deals!).  I just knew I had to have them and so I placed them in my kit.  They haven't disappointed!

The last day to take advantage of the Bundle pricing for either the Hey Chick or Hey Birthday Chick is June 30...you get the stamps and die set together for a bit of a discount.

Here is a Sampler I made using all of the dies and most of the stamps.  I didn't use the sentiments but the chickens themselves.  They are so fancy, they wanted it to be all about them!

I love making samplers!  It's a great way for me to learn all about a bundle and to just see what evolves.

I used Poppy Parade and the cute bright stripes from Pattern Party Designer Series Paper as my main focus to create this Sampler.  I left the paper at 12" x 12" and added die shapes with a striped retired paper (Pampered Pets) and Poppy Parade backgrounds.  It was so fun die cutting all of these cute things!

I'm not sure which Chick is my favorite but it might be the one with the balloon!  Can you see her pink bow tie she wanted to wear?

I have shared this project in the My Projects tab on my website and it includes items that you may purchase to create your own sampler or cards.  You can go there via this link:  My Project Page

Don't wait too long or you'll miss the Bundle Deal!  Today you also can get FREE SHIPPING with a $50 order...until good today 6/24/2021.  Hooray for deals!

See you next time!

My homage to David Rose

 David Rose's sweaters!

Recently I saw that Lion Brand Yarn has joined with the company that manages things for Schitt's Creek.  They are creating a line of yarn and sweater patterns to be released later this year for all of the cool sweaters seen on the show!  WOWWWie!  I'm so excited!  I have to knit one of those!

In the meantime, I am playing with paper that makes me think of the Rose's.  It's such a funny show!  I've watched it twice through (thanks, Covid).

The True Love Designer Series Paper that will be retiring soon is perfect to start thinking about this theme.

Here you can see that I've got quite a few scraps of the DSP still so I combined it on a Basic Black Cardstock base along with a bigger piece directly on top of that of DSP.  Then I embossed a piece of Basic Black with the Checks & Dots Embossing Folder.  On top of that, I cut strips of my leftovers.  The pink leopard piece is from the Pattern Party DSP pack that is in the new catalog.  I cut that with the soon to be retiring Curvy Dies set.  I finished off the card with a sentiment from the every so funny Stamp Set Lighthearted Lines that is popped up with dimensionals.  Loving that for you...lol.

You may notice one of my favorite old stamps in the picture from the retired Bundled Up set, a very appropriate sweater stamp for David Rose.

"I've asked you thrice..."  haha  You've just gotta watch it.  The first couple of episodes may have you saying, mmm I don't know...but just keep going!  It's so worth it!

I may have some more David Rose cards to make...stay tuned!  If you are interested in any of the materials I've used to make this card, please visit my Projects tab on my website:   Shana's Shopping Site.

No Ew about it...that was fun!

See you next time!

Stampin' In The Studio...Sunday version!

Hello!  Today I wanted to work with the newest Paper Pumpkin Kit, show you another kit called Cozy & Bright, and share some of my favor...
